Below is a gallery of some of the various models of some of the Crash Bandicoot characters, and a vertical side by side comparison between them. Note that this only covers the models that I consider worthy of inclusion. Any models that I dislike will not be included.

This page is a direct follow up of Volume Two. While Volume One consisted of main characters, and Volume Two consisted of a mixture of supporting and recurring characters, this page covers up a mixture of recurring and minor characters from the Crash Bandicoot series.

These characters are Komodo Joe, N. Trance, Koala Kong, Komodo Moe, Tawna Bandicoot, Penta Penguin, Rilla Roo, Emperor Velo XXVII, Zam, Zem, Krunk, Nash, Norm, Geary, Ami Bandicoot, Isabella Bandicoot, Liz Bandicoot, Megumi Bandicoot, Liz Bandicoot, Megumi Bandicoot, Chick Gizzard Lips, Stew, Pasadena O'Possum, Ebenezer Von Clutch, Baby T, and Mega-Mix.

Komodo Joe

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is more detailed than the model that appears in the game.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back,
CTR: Crash Team Racing
(Podium Model)
Komodo Joe's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back model, except this model is less detailed. The feet are darker and skinnier than in the promotional design.
CTR: Crash Team Racing
(Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is more detailed than the models that appear in the game.
CTR: Crash Team Racing
(Cutscenes)
This model is very similar to the one from Crash 2. But it is much more detailed. The spike on Komodo Joe's head is now golden. The model used for the winning and losing podium poses is the same as the model from Crash 2, sans the spikes on his tail.
CTR: Crash Team Racing
(In-Kart)
All in-kart models of Crash Team Racing are much more polygonal versions than usual, since 8 of the usual models on screen at the same time would be more than the PS1 could handle. Komodo Joe's in-kart model has a silver spike on his head, much like his Crash 2 model. The underneath of his outfit is now a pale purple as opposed to white. Komodo Joe's feet are a lighter and brighter shade of green, and he has large squared teeth.
Crash Bash The Crash Bash model resembles the Naughty Dog models, but with less detail and no change of facial expressions. The silver spike on Komodo Joe's head is lighter than before. The individual toes can no longer be distinguished from each other.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy,
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled
This model is a much more detailed and 3D resemblance of the Naughty Dog models. Joe appears in more intricate detail, with the increase in technology. Some stylistic changes have occurred as well. Joe has gone through less changes than Moe has, but his cheeks are evidently puffier. The purple outfit has golden trim instead of yellow or orange. Joe now features more realistic scales on his skin.

N. Trance

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced
(Promotional 3D Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is more detailed than the model that appears in the game. This model presented here is in 3D while the version in the Game Boy Advance is in 2D.
Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced N. Trance's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced model, except this model is less detailed. This model presented here is in 2D while the promotional model is in 3D.
Crash Nitro Kart,
Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage
In comparison to the promotional model from N-Tranced, N. Trance now has a nose and a regular right hand where the clock used to be. His pupils are much bigger, but both eyes are more similar in size to each other. The spiral on his armour is more angular and has different colours, as do his legs, which are now purple instead of indigo.
Crash Nitro Kart
(In-Kart)
It's basically the same as the previous model, but it is much smaller in appearance. In consistency with the other playable characters with Intermediate player stats, N. Trance is roughly the same size as Crash and Cortex whenever he is seen inside his kart.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled

Koala Kong

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot (Promotional Model),
Crash Bash (Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is much more detailed than the model that appears in the game.
Crash Bandicoot Koala Kong's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional Crash Bandicoot model, except this model is less detailed.
Crash Bash The Crash Bash model resembles the previous ones, but with much less detail and no change of facial expressions. Kong's body is narrower and his muscles are much smaller and less noticeable, as a result of the low detail. The pants are also a lighter and brighter shade of yellow. Kong doesn't have the dark fur on his chest, and his body is more polygonal.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled A much more detailed and 3D resemblance of the original model from Crash 1. Kong's bracelets are bigger and now have spikes on them. He also now wears a black belt with a picture of a skeleton head. The insides of Kong's ears aren't as colourful as before, and the outsides of the ears now have brown fur on them. The fur on his body is much more detailed, with a much more fleecy texture. The nose is also much shinier. Kong doesn't have the dark fur on his chest or his head.

Komodo Moe

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is more detailed than the model that appears in the game.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back Komodo Moe's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back model, except this model is less detailed. The feet are darker than in the promotional design.
Crash Bash The Crash Bash model resembles the previous one, but with less detail and no change of facial expressions. The silver spike on Komodo Moe's head is lighter than before. The underneath of his outfit is now a pale purple as opposed to white. His feet are a lighter and brighter shade of green, and the individual toes can no longer be distinguished from each other.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy,
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled
This model is a much more detailed and 3D resemblance of the Naughty Dog models. Moe appears in more intricate detail, with the increase in technology. Some stylistic changes have occurred as well. Moe is now shorter, his tummy is flatter, and his head appears larger in relation to his body. The purple outfit has golden trim instead of yellow or orange. Moe now features more realistic scales on his skin.

Tawna Bandicoot

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot
(Beta Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is more detailed than the model that appears in the game. Tawna Bandicoot's skirt was originally green, her makeup was originally blue, and her muzzle was originally orange. But her skirt was changed to blue, her makeup was changed to purple, and her muzzle was changed to pink prior to release.
Crash Bandicoot Tawna Bandicoot's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional Crash Bandicoot model, except this model is less detailed. Tawna's skirt is now blue instead of green, her makeup is now purple instead of blue, and her muzzle is now pink instead of orange like the beta promotional design.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled This is a much more detailed and 3D resemblance of the Naughty Dog models, with a few significant changes, such as the much smaller breasts, chunkier legs, lighter fur, and pinker eyeshadow and lipstick. Aside from the slightly different hairstyle, and top and shoes which have undergone significant changes in their designs, Tawna has traded her short skirt for a pair of denim shorts. Her top has a white variation of Crash's life counter mugshot on it. All these changes may be a touch disappointing to the hardcore fans of the original Naughty Dog models and graphics, but anyone looking for a more family friendly design of Crash's original girlfriend should be quite pleased.

Penta Penguin

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, CTR: Crash Team Racing
(Podium Poses), Crash Bandicoot XS: The Huge Adventure, Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage
Penta Penguin's original design. Since there is no 3D model for Penta's winning and losing poses, the game instead reuses a generic penguin enemy model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. This was likely done to save development time, as Penta is a very minor character in the game and can't be unlocked without the respective cheat code.

CTR: Crash Team Racing
(In-Kart)
All in-kart models of Crash Team Racing are much more polygonal versions than usual, since 8 of the usual models on screen at the same time would be more than the PS1 could handle. Penta's in-kart model is much smaller than the model from Crash 2. His head is now chestnut shaped, the beak is smaller, and he now wears a purple scarf around his neck.
Crash Bash The Crash Bash model loosely resembles the original design, but it is less detailed. Penta is much bigger, the eyes are much smaller and are black, and the feathers are now a dark blue instead of black. Whenever Penta spins after being woken up, his beak and feet are yellower, and he doesn't change facial expressions until he stops spinning and falls asleep again.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy This is a much more detailed and 3D resemblance of the original model from Cortex Strikes Back and Warped. Penta has gotten stockier and his body is much fluffier. His head is rounder and his toes now have claws on them. The white feathers now connect from his chest to his mouth. The eyes are a different shape and the eye sclera has changed from white to blue. The feathers on the top of his head are now purple in colour.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled It's basically the same model as the previous one. But now Penta is wearing a purple scarf around his neck, much like in the original version of Crash Team Racing.

Rilla Roo

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bash
(Cutscenes)
As with all in-game models from Crash Bash, this one is a low detail model with no change of facial expressions. However during the cutscenes, Rilla Roo is shown with thumbs, making his cutscenes model more expressive and defined than the model used during gameplay
Crash Bash
(Gameplay)
It's basically the same as the model that appears during the cutscenes, but it doesn't have thumbs like the cutscenes model does resulting in a less expressive and defined model.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled Besides the much higher detail and polygon count, Rilla Roo now has visible nostrils, fingers, and toes. Other new details include belt holes and a goatee. His mouth is also wider and more separated from his chin.
Rilla Roo's 'fixed' design in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled
(Fixed)
In response to the mixed reception of his initial redesign in the game, an updated redesign for Rilla Roo was given for free to anyone who had unlocked him prior to the first post-Grand Prix update. Otherwise, his redesigned form was made available for purchase from the Pit Stop for 1500 Wumpa Coins. Visually there isn't much of a change, though the mouth is smaller and more separated from his nose. His eyes are a slightly different shape, and his goatee is now shorter.

Emperor Velo XXVII

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Nitro Kart
(Robotic Suit Form)
Emperor Velo XXVII's original design.
Crash Nitro Kart
(Mask Form)
Velo's mask form bears little to no visual resemblance to Emperor Velo XXVII's robotic suit model. So a model comparison is not possible. Like all spirit masks, Velo's mask form has no pupils.
Crash Nitro Kart
(True Form)
Velo's true form bears little to no visual resemblance to Emperor Velo XXVII's other forms. So a model comparison is not possible.

Zem

Models: Appearances: Information:

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled This model is very similar to the previous one. But it is much more detailed than before. Zem's eyes are now green. His eyelids are now the same colour as the rest of his body. His outfit now has a more reddish hue, except for the V on his belt, or the yellow markings on his purple armour which now have a more yellow hue. Zem's whole body has drastically increased in polygons.

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Nitro Kart
(Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is slightly more detailed than the models that appear in the game.
Crash Nitro Kart
(Japanese Promotional Model)
Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional CNK model, except this model doesn't have the lighter blue fur on his tummy.
Crash Nitro Kart Krunk's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional CNK model, except this model is slightly less detailed and more polygonal.
Crash Nitro Kart
(In-Kart)
It's basically the same as the previous model except this one doesn't have fingers, or a tail.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled This model is very similar to the previous ones. But it is much more detailed than before. Krunk now has fingernails and toenails. His palms, fingers, feet, and toes are much more realistic. The hat and bracelets are much more circular. His tummy is rounder than before. And his hair and feathers have more realistic textures.

Nash

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Nitro Kart
(Japanese Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is slightly more detailed than the model that appears in the game.

Norm

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Nitro Kart
(Basic Form)
Norm's original design. Unlike his inner half, Norm doesn't enjoy racing and only does it because Emperor Velo XXVII tells him to. In spite of Norm's dislike for racing, he is actually a better racer than his inner half. Norm sticks to the mime tradition by not speaking at all, while his inner half does all of the talking for him.
Crash Nitro Kart
(Big Form)
Norm's big form bears little to no resemblance to his basic counterpart, both visually and personality wise. So a model comparison is not possible. In contrast to his basic counterpart, Big Norm loves to race and often gets into scrapes when his basic counterpart doesn't cooperate with him.

Geary

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Nitro Kart (Japanese Promotional Model) As this is a promotional model, it is slightly more detailed than the model that appears in the game.
Crash Nitro Kart
(In-Kart)
It's basically the same as the out of kart model except this one doesn't have fingers, and the texture is a bit different.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled Besides the much higher polygon count and similar upgrades, the biggest change in Geary's design is the presence of teeth-like bars in his mouth. His eyes are less close to each other as well.

Ami Bandicoot

Models: Appearances: Information:
CTR: Crash Team Racing
(Promotional Model)
As this is a promotional model, it is more detailed than the models that appear in the game.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped Baby T's original design. Visually there isn't much of a difference from the promotional Crash 3 model, except this model is less detailed.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
(Promotional Model)
This model is a more detailed resemblance of the promotional Crash 3 model. Baby T now has a concave nose, which protrudes more than in his original appearance, despite the smaller nostrils. His irises are slightly smaller and his eyebrows are much thinner, while his teeth are now visible. He has a spotted pattern on his back and legs, and a line of small spikes adorning his spine. Overall, the colouration is a bit duller and darker, and the tummy now has stripes.
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy Not much of a change from the promotional N. Sane Trilogy model. The stripes on the tummy have just disappeared. The scales are less obvious, and the textures in general are become softer. The claws on his feet are now white.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled Baby T is closer to his original self, having gotten a nose job and no longer sporting dark spots or a line of spikes along his back. His head is also smaller, resembling the original proportions more closely.

Mega-Mix

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot XS: The Huge Adventure,
Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced
Mega-Mix's original design.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled Mega-Mix's hair and eyebrows are much more jagged. The toes now have black claws which are unsheathed, and the fur is much more realistic. Mega-Mix now wears a spiky shoulder pad on his left shoulder, as well as a new pair of tan pants, with pockets, folds on the ends, and a belt. The spikes on his tail are greener, and the tail itself is now much lighter. As this is a 3D model for the PS4, it is much more detailed than the original 2D model for the Game Boy Advance.
